'IMPEX - Contemporary Art Provider' was an independent, flexible initiative for work, research and experiments in the field of art and culture, set at the crossing of alternative and institutional networks. Its self-organizing and open structure served as a platform for multidisciplinary, collaborative art practices. Programs took form of exhibitions, presentations, workshops, publications, residencies or community work.

The IMPEX founders are young experts with various professional knowledge and backgrounds. Together they realized projects which were based on collaboration within different fields of art as well as the cultural and civil sectors.

IMPEX was situated in the VIIIth district of Budapest. After the demolishing of the building, it stopped running the public programs. In the following period some other of-site projects were realized.
